March for St George
The spectacular
backdrop
of Dunster Castle and
village set the scene for
Sunday's St George's Day
parade
when Scouts,
Guides, Brownies and Sea
Scouts joined hundreds of
onlookers to
celebrate the
occasion.
The parade was led by the
Bideford Youth Pipe Band
and started
from Dunster
Castle Green, through the
village to St George's
Church
where a service
was held.
Organisers say this year's
turnout was sugnificantly
larger than
last year with
St George's Church being
filled to capacity.
Scout
District Chaplain
George Taylor led the
service and an address
was
read by Shirley Harrington. |
